Existing Customers:
You can fill out the "Application Form for US Stock Options Account" or open a US stock options account via the mobile app (POEMS 3.0).

New Customers:
The account opening documents can also include the opening of a US stock options account.

Customers need to sign the W8-Ben form, a risk tolerance questionnaire, and a derivatives knowledge form.

Customers can trade on the mobile app (POEMS 3.0).

In special circumstances, such as system issues or network problems, phone orders can be supported, but only for closing orders.

Customers can input fund or stock transfer instructions in the mobile app (POEMS 3.0).

Instructions submitted before 4:30 PM Hong Kong time will reflect in the statement issued on the next US business day.

Fund transfer only supports:
- From stock account to US stock options account or
- From US stock options account to stock account

Currently, transferring fund from a US stock options account to a bank account is not supported directly. If customers want to withdraw fund from a US stock options account to a bank account, they must first transfer it to a stock account, then withdraw from the stock account to the bank account.

Currently, only long position contracts are supported for trading.

US stock options can be categorized based on expiration dates into (1) Monthly Options, (2) Weekly Options, and (3) Zero-day-to-expiration Options:

(1) Monthly options expire on the third Friday between the 15th and 21st of each month in the US.
(2) Weekly options expire on the first, second, and fourth Fridays of each month, with the longest expiration extending to five weeks.
(3) Zero-day-to-expiration options (0DTE options) have contracts expiring from Monday to Friday, with the longest expiration extending to two weeks. Currently, only certain ETFs support 0DTE options.

If Friday is a US holiday, the expiration will be moved up to Thursday of the same week. US stock options are American-style options, exercisable at any time after purchase until expiration.

. Daily statements will be issued before the next US business day opens (approximately 6:30 PM Hong Kong time).
. Monthly statements will be issued within the first five business days of the next month.

1. Phillip currently does not support exercise/assignment of US stock options.
2. On the expiration date, the system will continuously monitor client positions; if the option is in/at the money or within 5% of being out-of-the-money, Phillip reserves the right to force liquidation (generally within 1 hour before market close).
3. Please note, although Phillip does not support exercise/assignment, your options may still be assigned due to factors including but not limited to market settlement, price fluctuations, etc. Please be aware of the associated risks and ensure your account has sufficient funds and stocks to meet potential obligations arising from being assigned.
4. Exercise/Assignment will be conducted through stock settlement.
